Save The Date Cards

The Save The Date card is the first piece of formal information that your guests will be receiving about your wedding so your guest list must be finalised before you send out any wedding stationery, including your save the date cards.

Some FAQs' when it comes to Save The Date

❣️ What is the purpose of a ‘Save-The-Date’ card, if we're sending out invitations?
A Save the Date tells your guest to do exactly that, reserve the date in their calendar. While it does give some information about when and where your wedding will be held, the role of this card is to allow guests to plan in advance and also let them know that a formal invitation will be sent at a later date.

❣️ Does everyone need a Save-The-Date?
The short answer is… YES! If you are sending out ‘Save-The-Date' cards, then send them to every guest on your guest list.

❣️ How early is too early to send ‘Save-The-Date’ Cards?
Six to Seven months before the wedding is a good time to send Save the Dates. For Destination Weddings, you can send them up to nine months ahead, although I wouldn't recommend any earlier.

❣️ Can I skip Save the dates?
Only skip the save the dates if Your wedding is in the next 3 months.

❣️ If I don't send out Save-The-Date, when should I send out my Invites?
If you're not sending save the dates, the best time to send out wedding invitations is 4 months before the wedding.

Our recommendation is TO send out Save-The-Date cards to your guest list, but like every wedding and every couple, this comes down to personal preference.
