Sydney couple Damien and Luke held an amazing four-day celebration of their love.

It was a wedding like few others and certainly a traffic stopper in the sleepy NSW mid-north coast town of Forster when Damien Kolbas and Luke Williams tied the knot! With a mouth-watering budget, the grooms pulled off the most lavish gay marriage celebration since Aussies voted overwhelmingly to legalise same sex marriage in 2017.

The OTT event, which played out over four days in the grounds of Palmyra B&B at Rainbow Flat, included a curtain of 250,000 Swarovski crystals and a stage encrusted with a million diamante crystals, where the couple exchanged vows. The 320 guests gasped in delight when Damien, who wore a show-stopping $18,000 Swarovski crystal beaded jacket and a $15,000 crown, and Luke, who wore a $12,000 George Elsissa jacket, pledged their love for each other. “It was everything we dreamed of and more,” Luke, 31, a national retail executive and event planner says. Damien, who is a childcare director, says he was overwhelmed at how perfect it was.

Guests were required to bring nine outfits for the four days, and were treated to a fireworks display, a nine-tier wedding cake and a spectacular marquee decorated with one million diamantes.
